1. Apply Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is made by apple cider. It is best known for its ability to fight many types of bacteria and also viruses. Apple cider vinegar contains several organic acids that kill P. acnes.

However, apple cider vinegar may help dry up the excess oil and remove the pimples and acne. You can use 1 part of apple cider vinegar and 3 parts water, but if you have sensitive skin then use more water.

Apply this mixture by using a cotton ball and let it sit for 10-20 seconds after that rinse with water. But repeat this process at least for 1-2 times per day.

It is important to inform you that applying apple cider vinegar can cause irritation to your skin, so please apply in a small amount of water.

2. Take a Zinc Supplement

Zinc is an essential nutrient which is important for cell growth, hormone production, metabolism, and also for immune function.  

Many research shows that people with pimples and acne tend to have lower levels of zinc in their blood. And taking zinc orally will help to reduce a pimple and acne.

In one study, 48 a pimple and acne patients were given oral zinc supplements three times per day. After eight weeks, 38 patients experienced an 90–100% reduction in a pimple and acne.  

The recommended safe zinc is 40 mg per day, so it is probably best to not exceed that amount unless under the guidance of a medical doctor.

However, taking too much zinc may cause adverse effects, including stomach pain and gut irritation also.

3. Honey and Cinnamon Mask

Honey and cinnamon both are the excellent sources of antioxidants. Many studies have found that antioxidants are very effective to the skin to reduce a pimple and acne. Honey and cinnamon both have the ability to fight bacteria and also it reduces inflammation.

While the anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antibacterial properties of honey and cinnamon may benefit acne-prone skin, but there are no studies exist on their ability to treat pimples and acne.

Take honey and cinnamon together to form a paste. Apply this mask on your face and leave it approx 10-15 minutes. After that, rinse the mask and pat your face dry.

4. Garlic

Then, rub the garlic and its juice directly to your pimples and acne. Leave it for five minutes and then wash with lukewarm water.

5. Cucumber

Cucumber has long been known as a natural remedy to soothe and clear skin. However, it is a rich source of different nutrients that can help in a pimples and acne healing and prevention also.

These include Vitamins A, C, and E. Regular use of cucumber can prevent the development of oily skin and eventually, acne breakouts.

There are three different ways to use cucumber as pimples and acne home remedy:

1. Apply sliced cucumber to the affected area and let it sit for 20 minutes before washing.

2. Cut the cucumber into pieces. Soak them in a water bowl for approx one hour. During this process, the nutrients of the cucumber will slowly transfer to the water. After that use the water either as a drink or as a facial wash.

3. Use cucumber to make a facial mask, mix cucumber with one cup of oatmeal. Then you can combine this mixture with some plain yogurt. After that, apply the mask for approx 30 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.
